Homeless Family Services

Not every family has a home, but every family deserves one. Family Support Center is a lead agency fighting to prevent family homelessness in Thurston County. We work around the clock to ensure no family is left out in the cold—providing emergency shelter, housing assistance, case management, counseling, mental health support, life skills, advocacy, resources, outdoor living supplies, community voice mail, computer and phone access, warm clothes, food, hygiene supplies, transportation, employment assistance, benefits eligibility information and more. Homeless Family Services staff are available Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm at the Family Support Center to help homeless families with children and single women. For more information, call our Emergency Shelter Hotline at
360.628.7343 or email a case manager at BeccaD@fscss.org.
“My husband and I became homeless when I was 9 months pregnant. I gave birth to our son during our stay at the Family Support Shelter. The case manager helped my family to move quickly from the shelter to a new apartment with our newborn son. It was a very stressful time for us…we couldn’t have done it without their help." --A participant in the Homeless Family Services Program
